Full day tour – wanders of Latvia

Saulkrasti – Sigulda/Turaida and Rundale Castle 

We start from Villa Neubad and head east to the forests of Sigulda and Gauja national park.  Gauja national park is shaped by the river Gauja and tributaries carving and shaping the landscape for millions of years. You will find rocky cliffs at the river banks and some of the largest and oldest birch woods in Europe.  Wild life is rich; Wild boars, moose, beavers, eagles. In the park, you’ll find medieval castle structures from the German Christian knight era. We drive through the park and visit Turiada Castle where you get a stunning view of the park. We continue our journey to Bauska in the south on the border to Lithuania. We visit the castle of Rundale; an amazing baroque castle from 1768 created by the genius architect Francesco Rastrelli the architect behind the Summer and Winter palace of St. Petersburg.

Price 500 euro. The tour includes exclusive transfer, guide and a 3-course lunch and drinks.  2-4 pax same price. 5-6 pax – extra price 50 euro.

Tour – the wonders of Riga:

Guided tour in Riga – 3,5 hours stroll through the old town of Riga and the fantastic Art Nouveau district.

Enjoy the medieval center of Riga, the Gilds, House of Black Heads, The Dome, St. Peters Church, the President Castle, Swedish Gate when Riga was under German and Swedish rule.

We move ahead in time to the Tzarist Imperial era in the 19th and early 20th century when Riga was a thriving community and became an Art Nouveau capital of Europe. We complete the tour at the monument of freedom as the symbolic manifestation of this young state.

Price 250 euro including private guide transfer to Riga and return to Villa Neubad.  Capacity 2-6 pax same price.

If you enjoy golf, we have the first 18-hole golf course in Latvia nearby. Ozo Golf Club was established by famous NHL hockey player Sandis Ozolins. The course has won several prices for its brilliant design and architecture orchestrated by the American designer Rob Sweberg who managed to emerge elements of his native Rocky Mountains into Latvian landscape combined with excellent golfing facilities. Saulkrasti Jazz Festival

If you like Jazz, it hard to find a better way to spend midsummer bright nights outdoors! Enjoy the finest local and world famous jazz music celebrities at Saulkrasti Jazz Festival. You find the festival’s main venue at the Saulkrasti resort Minhauzena less than 10 min. walk from Villa Neubad and more than 10 various open-air concerts all over town. Concerts during the day are on the stage in Saulkrasti city center where admission is free. Positivus festival

Is the Baltic version of Roskilde festival in Denmark or Rock am Ring in Germany. Positivus Festival is an annual, three-day summer music and culture festival held in Salacgrīva only 50 km. from Villa Neubad. Positivus combines a variety of genres, including rock, indie, pop, folk, electronica. The festival always takes place during an extended weekend- from Thursday afternoon until Sunday morning in the third week of July. Positivus Festival is the largest music and arts festival in the Baltics and is getting more and more popular all over Europe. It is a festival with international chart toppers and underground emerging talent set in an idyllic location on the coast. Positivus Festival has been awarded the title “Best European Festival”.
