Story about the building

The building has been constructed over three periods; the late 1990’s and early 2000’s and recently when Villa Neubad took over the building in 2015.  The whole building has been completely renovated, refurbished and modernized but in accordance to the original architectural concept. Our goal was to create a villa offering clients top modern facilities but in a classic environment. We are indeed inspired by Scandinavian and German beach hotel style and italo-franco elegance, but are no great fans of floor to floor carpets and pure white furniture or over decoration. We sought a contrast and to keep the Latvian tradition of using raw wood materials and coloring and maintain the original Baltic-German manor house style.

As a result all rooms are laid with pure  Latvian oak, furnished with Swedish and Latvian wood furniture, the walls are decorated with German and Belgian tapestry, the bathrooms are in Italian and or Scandinavian style and we use Czech bohemian lightning

The bathrooms are are all installed with high quality brands such as German Grohe, Swedish Gustavsberg and Cello and Italian Aqualine.

The Bathroom flooring and wall tiles are Scandinavian or Italian.

The bathroom cabinets are made in dark toned pine tree by our local carpenter.

All furniture in the common areas are made of pure wood, and all garden furniture are made of wood or iron cast.

All rooms have their own private bathroom with a shower or bathtub and are named after great cities and capitals of the historical Baltic region; once upon a time part of the great Hanseatic league with historical cities like  Riga, Tallinn, Stockholm, Rostock etc.

Energy saving and environmentally friendly house

An energy saving and environmentally friendly villa was another important goal in our endeavours to rethink the villa, we wanted to make the house as energy neutral as possible.

We’ve managed to construct a water heating system suppling the buidling with hot water from late spring till October purely from sun energy, all bulks in the building are LED and many are censor driven. All windows are double glazed and the house is constructed with thick brick walls and wall insolation.  We have our own water supply based on a deep ground water drill naturally filtered and ready to drink.
